Application of Overhead Insulated Conductors
The overhead insulated conductor application area is suitable for multi-tree areas. Lines erected on bare conductors, in areas with more trees, often the erection and maintenance of the lines will affect greening and forestry. The use of overhead insulated wires can reduce the felling of trees (in the initial stage of installation and operation and maintenance), solve many problems, reduce the contradiction with the departments of greening, forestry, etc., protect the ecological environment, beautify the city, and reduce the line ground fault.
Overhead insulated conductors are used for flying dust and metal pollution. In the old industrial area, due to the lack of environmental protection standards, metal processing companies often fly with metal dust flying in the wind. In the polluted areas of thermal power plants and chemical plants, short circuits and grounding faults of overhead distribution lines are caused. The use of overhead insulated conductors is a better way to prevent short-circuit grounding of 10 KV distribution lines.
The cable is suitable for salt fog areas. The corrosion of the bare conductor is very serious due to the salt fog, so that the tensile strength of the bare wire is greatly reduced, the wind and rain are encountered, the lead is broken, the circuit short-circuit grounding accident is caused, and the service life of the circuit is shortened. The use of overhead insulated wires can better prevent salt spray corrosion. Because of the protection of a layer of insulation, it can reduce the corrosion of the conductor by salt spray, delay the aging of the line and prolong the service life of the line.
Overhead cables are suitable for retrofitting old towns. Since the overhead insulated conductor can withstand a voltage of 15kV, the minimum vertical distance between the insulated conductor and the building is 1m, and the horizontal distance is 0.75m. Therefore, replacing the low-voltage mains with 10kV overhead insulated wires and feeding them directly into the load center, shortening the radius of the low-voltage power grid is an effective power distribution method for the transformation of the old city.
Aerial cables help to prevent typhoons. Due to the poor resistance to typhoon of the bare bare conductor line, the line trips one after another as soon as the typhoon arrives. After the overhead insulated conductor is used, the instantaneous collision of the conductor will not cause a short circuit, which reduces the fault and greatly improves the typhoon resistance of the line.
